The Necklace

It was a beautiful night, bright moonlight like a lovely baby face shining
from above the sky! There was a ball in the royal court, all the high-grade
people were invited. They were dancing trippingly,talking and laughing with
joy! The king was sitting on his throne.

But there was one girl in the corner, looking at the king and seemed in deep
thinking. She moved her sight fast as the king eye contact with her! She was
pretend to looking at others but concealed her behaviours. The king went to
her directly and spoked when he was near her"hello, miss, would you like to
dance with me?" He bent a little his waist and reach out his hands to her!
Surprised her! The king invited her to dance! She dreamed about this
hundreds of times before! "Yes. of course, my pleasure" She answered
excited! The king leaded her to the ball center, and danced to music. At the
time,The king noticed this girl who he dancing with. She has very plain
face, not beautiful, and she wears simple dress. But when his sight through
her neck, he stopped, just like he met his precious! As if he forget to
dance at a little moment. But soon, he smiled to cover his surprise! And at
this mement, he felt she was prettier than them all, elegant, gracious,
smiling ,and crazy with joy! "this must be his queen"he thought. Then he
said"you wear a nice necklace, miss, i like your necklace，can you tell me a
little about it?" At the same time, The girl was thinking"if i could be his
queen, what else iam expecting? Thats just exactly what i want. I leave no
stone unturned to let him to notice me, finally i did it!" She was happy for
her success! Then She looked at the king with the eye of enchantment and
blurred, Said"The necklace is sterling silver with several beads, the size
is 18 inches long, charms is 20 inches long. Its one kind unique design."
She answered. After this, the king smiled at her and said to her"you are as
same unique as the necklace. Would you be my queen?" As sooner she heard of
this than she stopped! She felts no more words are more sweet than this! She
almost shouted out for her success! But soon, She noticed something and
pretended to shy with a red face....As time went by, She dances with
passion, made drunk by pleasure, forgetting all the triumph of her beauty,
in the glory of her success,in a sort of cloud of happiness composed of all
this admireation, of all these awakened desires,and and of that sense of
complete victory which was so sweet to her heart!



At the end of the dance, everybody was having more fun,they got together and
danced back to back. After a while, the girl was still dancing happily, but
she touched her neck by occasionally. She couldnt feel anything, her
beautiful Pandora necklace was missing like the Pandora story! She flustered
and almost cried out! That necklace was her life! It was all she has and
thats the only thing she could attractive the king! Without it,the king
would never marry her! She looked for it everywhere! On the ground,she
thought it might be fell down,but no! Under the table, she thought it might
be here when she danced fast and flew away, But no! In the corner of the
pillar, she thought it might be here when she danced around the pillar, But
still no! She despaired! She cried out and run away from the ball with her
both hands covered her face.


Arrived at home, She sat waiting on a chair in her ball dress, without
streght to go bed, overwhelmed, without fire, without a thought! She
regreted mingled with self-reproach to not care it carefully. But what can
she do now? Nothing but cry! Her life would be still as usual! And Her dream
was still a dream!

How life is strange and changeful! How a little thing is needed for us to be
lost or to be saved! What would have happened if she had not lost that
necklace? Who knows? Who knows?
